The Petitto Brain and Language Laboratory – BL2 recently held a two-day functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS) training for summer research assistants, preparing them to gain certification in the use of fNIRS. Adam Stoneand Geo Kartheiser, fourth-year students in the Ph.D. in Educational Neuroscience (PEN) program, led the training.
Participating research assistants and interns were: Carolyn Gershman, from the University of Rochester; Gavriella Shandler, from Oberlin College; Max Graham-Putter, a double major in Biology and Psychology at Gallaudet University; Jenelle Bloom, Communications Studies major at Gallaudet University; Emily Kubicek, incoming PEN student; and Victoria Mousley, from the College of the Holy Cross.
