Professor Petitto was a consultant (“domestic partner”) on a recently awarded NSF PIRE grant (Judith Kroll, PI at UC Riverside; formerly at Penn State). Professor Judith Kroll (PI), heads the grant with Drs. Paola Dussias and Janet van Hell. This new NSF PIRE grant (Partnership for International Research and Education) grant is “…to develop an international research network and program of training to enable language scientists at all levels (undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral) to pursue research abroad on the science of bilingualism (http://pire.la.psu.edu/).
