BL2 Marks Its 400th Participant!

June 8, 2017

On June 6, 2017, the Petitto Brain & Language Laboratory for Neuroimaging (BL2) achieved another major milestone in its history, as well as for neuroscience research at Gallaudet University, when they recruited and ran their 400th participant. BL2 ran 50 participants–babies and adults–in less than three months, despite our university’s spring break, finals week, and commencement! Overall, we have now worked with 170 infants for our Keck and NSF INSPIRE grants (Petitto, PI) since Fall 2015. Many of them came back for second, third, and fourth visits; in all, we have now conducted nearly 260 infant visits! We couldn’t have done it without the support of our university and the greater D.C. community!
